Parents-
Just a few reminders and notes. Tomorrow is our last day before Thanksgiving break. I'm sure they're all ready for a break from me. I've been pushing them hard these past couple of weeks to go beyond the bare minimum. I'd like to see them giving their all each day. I know they can do more and I know they can do better.
Progress reports went home yesterday. Thanks to all who signed and sent back in. For those who haven't, please sign and send in tomorrow. Continue to check the grades online. I've had a ton of assignments turned in the last few days, so the grades have been changing daily.
I am still accepting "Error Analysis" on all math tests the day after the tests are returned. Only a few students are taking advantage of this. They need to tell me what they did wrong and show me the correct steps for a proper solution. They'll earn back ½ credit. If they are struggling with math in any area, this really helps with understanding (and putting some time in on IXL.com helps too).
Iowa test results were sent home today too. Look for them. If you have trouble understanding the scores, feel free to ask. I love these because they show the areas where they struggled on the test. (I use this data to design their instruction.)
